Place the battery-operated submarine at the bottom of the tub using the suction cup and get ready for action. Make sure the water level covers the submarine windows.
Start the steady flow of water by squeezing the knobs on the diver shower handle, which are designed especially for easy grip and activation by small hands.
Aim the water flow at the whale to see it float and swim across the tub.
Direct the water flow into the whale’s tail and watch it spraying water from its head.
Fill up the whale with water and suddenly it's a water-pouring funnel. When filling the whale through the mouth, you can pour the water out both from the front and a small hole in the back. What a fun sense of accomplishment!

Learning Skills
Aiming the water flow into the whale’s tail, filling it up, and directing the stream at the floating whale to make it swim, all provide the opportunity to expose your child to the principle of cause and effect. As your child learns to rinse themselves with the stream, they also learn about hygiene.
Knowledge Acquisition
As your child sprays and moves the whale across the tub, demonstrate basic principles of physics through the power of water to create movement and speed. Introduce concepts like empty and full. Submerge the whale to introduce buoyancy and learn about bubbles.
Curiosity
Allow the water to introduce new concepts that ignite curiosity such as full and empty, heavy and light, float or sink. Ignite your child’s curiosity with indirect results such as filling up water on one end and watching it spray out of another.
Fine Motor Skills
Designed especially for little hands, squeezing the knobs on the diver shower handle and activating the flow of water is a great opportunity to develop your child’s fine motor skills, strengthening manual dexterity.
Senses
The varied spraying actions stimulate your child’s sense of sight, touch, and sound. Encourage your child to listen to the different sounds – the tinkle of the whale’s spray, the direct flow of the shower handle, the gulp of the whale funnel.
Coordination
Holding the whale in one hand and filling it up or aiming the water flow into its tail with the other, requires both hands and teaches limb movement coordination. Following the floating whale with the stream improves hand-eye coordination.
Self-Expression
The simple and varied playing options enabled by the submarine and whale set allow your child to express themselves by making decisions that influence the whale, the tub setting, and even how dry (or wet) you and the bathroom will remain.
Communication
Bath time with the whale and submarine can be an opportunity to improve communication and language skills – name body parts as you spray them, describe the whale’s actions, make up stories about the whale, and encourage your child to do the same. Have them name their buddy the whale.
Confidence
For toddlers, every little win is a huge boost of confidence. The submarine and whale offer many simple accomplishments, developed for their precise abilities and encouraging independent play and exploration – from simple operation, to aiming the flow of water, to being able to rinse themselves off safely and independently with the spray.

Good to Know
Safety first
The submarine and whale can travel in shallow waters, so a safe water level is enough. Also, since the submarine circulates water from the tub, water temperature remains constant.
Eco-friendly
No more running water! The Submarine Spray Whale caters to kids’ love of running water by spraying bath water using its unique circulating water pump (CWP).
Certified
Like all Yookidoo motorized bath toys, our award-winning Submarines uphold the most stringent water safety standards and are the only IPX7 waterproof certified bath toys.
We love all of the Yookidoo bath toys, in fact, we have almost all of them. This one is especially fun as it allows our 16 month old to learn her hand-eye coordination, and she doesn't even know she is learning! We were really impressed with the quality and as always..." | Schaffe
